    http://www.sparkpeople.com is one great site that offers weight loss and diet plans for diabetics, hypertensives, with dietary restrictions etc. good luck! :)

    there is a resipe book out call recipies for diabetics you can get it at your diabetic clinic

    Check out the American Dietetics Association web site, it will have some terrific information on it for both types of diabetes.
    Also it you are looking for some cookbooks, try Amazon, I found some great bargains on books there, cookbooks too.
    Also, if you go to this web site, http://www.savingdinner.com you can subscribe to the “low carb” menu and it will give you all of the info to make meals suitable for a diabetic. Or the “body clutter” menu, that will work too.
