    The best “diet” does not exist no matter what anybody suggests. You have to understand that if you are overweight, it is because of the way of living which you have had until now, so the only way to choose to have a more fit body is to change this way of living.
    However, understand that not a single human can change this quickly. This is one of the reasons most short term oriented diets fail. We get used to the way we like things and it really does take a long time and effort to slowly change these things to something else. And remember, any extreme change is not good for our health, our system.
    Once you understand that, then just MOVE. All and any movement / activity coupled with a healthier nutrition will bring you to your goals.

    There is no one great diet/exercise combo. Whatetver you enjoy and will stick to the most will be the best.
    Here is what I recommend.
    High fibre, high protein is a good combo, but dont neglect the carbs. For cardio do short intense runs, that is 20 mins of sprints 3 times per week.
    For weights, use a rep range from 6-10. Use heavy weights, not light, dont worry about high reps, you want to challenge your muscles. Use exercises that use your whole body, squats, dips, chin ups, push ups, presses

    when you build muscles you need alot of protein (protein bars) and electrolytes (stuff you find in powerade) but you will need to balance your diet out with some carbs. the exercises are mostly push-ups and pull-ups. if you go to a gym ask somebody and they will give you a complete set of exercises and a diet .
