These are just some meal/snack ideas:
*Grilled salmon with lemon juice and a big green salad.
*Canned tuna with rice, cucumber and avocado, dressed with fresh sqeezed lemon juice.
*When hungry eat nuts or dried fruit.
*Crackers with guacamole is delicious, but other dips, such as hommus, are probably better for you.
*Toast with light cream cheese instead of butter.
*Fruits! Never underestimate the good ol’ banana!
Lindy, the ‘fats’ found in fish are essential to our health and brain function. The omega three fatty acids keep bones and joints strong and help make up brain tissue and keep it strong. If you don’t eat fish, then I really hope your diet is littered with vitamin supplements.

Eat all the veggies you want, not fried, fruit has a lot of sugar so eat them somewhat sparingly. Since meat is mostly fat and proteins, you can substitute it by eating various raw nuts, beans, dairy products (which aren’t that great for you) and a few other veggies that have protein. Then you won’t need meat for protein. Some of these foods have the necessary good fats in them.

Go vegan. I’m a vegan and I eat only grains, legumes (beans), fruit and vegetables. I don’t eat meat, fish or any dairy products like milk, yoghurt or cheese. Those foods all contain a lot of fat. I do eat tofu and there’s nothing wrong with eating a lot of fruit. It’s not sugar that makes you fat, it’s fat that makes you fat. Fish is loaded with fat btw. I also don’t eat junk food of any kind.

eat lots of salads and drink about 3 or 4 glasses of fortified lowfat milk a day…snack on raw nuts and fruits..stay away from alcohol, junk and fast food 6 days weekly…you can indulge in your favourite small portions of desserts once a week and do light exercies to balance the carbs you consume
