Does Eating Alot Of Sodium Affect My Diet Plan?

Hi i was just reading some nutrition info on some food labels and i was looking at the sodium content. is sodium good or bad?

    sodium is bad, idk why it does but it add to your middle section.

    The USDA and FDA recommend that individuals should have 2,400 mg of sodium or less per day. Too much sodium can lead to heart problems, including hypertension- in that case, you would want to consume around 1,500 mg of sodium per day. Sodium, like everything else, is good in moderation. Be a smart consumer and keep watching those labels.

    Sodium is essential for your body to work properly. Without sodium you would not be able to function, so in that respect it is good. But too much sodium causes fluid retention (meaning you will hold water) this will make you look and feel bloated. Also, too much sodium can cause heart disease over a long period of time.
